About

The face behind the blog

Hello, I’m Rebekah! And I’m in pursuit of a better life, by way of living life as it comes.

I love to cook and try new recipes. The world is truly out there at your fingertips with computers now, if only you go out looking for it.

I enjoy writing—both prose and poetry. Writing in any form, is a way that I explore myself and the world around me. It helps me think, focus, and make sense of my ideas. So I do it a lot.

Another way that I make sense of life is by singing and making music. I’ve been writing songs for years, but in the summer of 2020 I began putting my music online for people to listen to. (You can find my music on YouTube or SoundCloud.) It’s not something I’m proper good at yet, but there’s a lot of love that goes into it.

About this Website

Welcome to The Thoughts that Bind. Here, we talk about all things self-improvement and mental mastery, in order to help you live a happier, healthier, and more fulfilled life.

I started the blog back in May 2018 because I realized that I had made a lot of strides with my health—mentally, emotionally, and physically. Now, I’m not a professional—I’m not a doctor, dietitian, therapist, or anything like that. And I’m certainly not perfect. But I’ve learned a lot over the years, and I wanted to share the lessons that I gleaned overtime.

Thus, The Thoughts that Bind was born. This is a place where we can explore ourselves and the world around us, with the intent of healing, getting more connected, and becoming more vibrant and kind individuals. I’m very passionate about making the world a better place, and so are my readers. And the only way to do that is one person, and one issue at a time. So let’s get started. I would love to  get to know you, and learn from each other along the way.
