When you stop looking at things in terms of rules, you become freer. You don’t need to impede your freedom to make good choices. Neither do you need to give yourself a bunch of rules to follow.
Continue reading “Life isn’t all about rules”I saw it said online that “the younger generation doesn’t believe that they owe anyone anything, but that’s not true. You owe respect to others, you owe it to others to tell the truth. You owe it to others basically, to be an upright person.”
How I see it is nobody owes each other anything. But there are prerequisites to building something, including even a simple friendship. And so, without further ado, let’s get to chatting.
Continue reading “Do the work: my two cents”Hello, and welcome back to the Thoughts that Bind! Today, we’re revisiting a series that everyone loved, letter-writing! Continue reading “How to build self-confidence (write a letter about yourself)”Today I want to write a little different kind of post. I’m going to tell you a little story, about myself. Because I’ve thought this over, and I think the best way to make my point is to tell you where it comes from. So that you can relate to it. And so, here it goes.
Continue reading “What a little cozy can do: my two cents”I thought I’d give credence to a funny little idea today. Not for any particular reason, but I like what it says, about habits, about life, and about our personal power to control our own destiny.
