Why being “for” something is good for you

   I’ve heard some references to Mother Theresa over the years about how if you want to make a change in the world, you need to stop putting your efforts into what you’re against and start putting efforts and energy into what you’re for. (Or something to that effect.) And while I don’t put her up on a pedestal as the best example of a “good human”, I definitely think she had a point there.

Learning the stories to navigate the world

   Hello, and welcome back to the Thoughts that Bind. We talk so much about our thoughts on this site, as you can probably imagine. But I feel we don’t talk nearly enough about where they come from. And so today, I want to talk about stories. Because these stories have a tendency to make up who we are, or who we might think we are. So let’s get into it.

Embracing change in others (and yourself)

   Lately I’ve been noticing a lot of change around me, in the world and within people that I know and care about. Some of it’s positive, and some I may be inclined to classify as negative, but if I’m being honest, most of it’s just neutral. And of course, as with most things that are just neutral, there is a lot to be examined. So let’s jump in and talk about it!
